What happens if you get Covid-19 during holiday in Japan?

Planning on a holiday later in November, what happens if I get Covid when I am there?
I see online clear instructions for how to test, get medical help etc, but what I am unsure if I then would have to quarantine (in my hotel?) for a period of time after that?
ie. could I have to extend my stay in Japan?
