Backpacking Japan for 4 weeks in April - May 23

Hi I am 27 year old IT Security Manager from Toronto Canada visiting Japan from April 23 - May 23 to travel the country and experience what Japan has to offer. I have very limited knowledge of Japanese outside some phrases growing up watching anime however I am spending weeks in advance studying Japanese to prepare myself. I plan on picking up JR Pass to explore hopefully Gunma, Kyoto, Hakone,Mt Fuji, Osaka, Nara, Fukuoka, Hiroshima....and Portable Wifi as I will be checking in on emails and getting some work done. Only dietary restriction I have is pork however I am mainly going to be eating a lot of seafood and beef. I will be travelling light with just a backpack full of essential gear. Another reason for me visiting Japan is that I am a huge boxing fan and would like to watch the Naoya Inoue v Stephen Fulton Jr unification fight happening in Yokohama Stadium on May 7th however I am struggling to find tickets. I am primarily living out of my backpack and jumping from hostels/capsules eating cheap breakfasts or very little throughout the day to save on costs. This will be my first time travelling alone overseas for this long of a time however I am excited and motivated to learn, struggle and hopefully perservere. If you are interested in being a companion my itinerary is open to changes.
